Description

This image is part of a batch with 'Opening of Gatehouse' recorded in the negative register. The Medical Research Centre for the Glaxo Group was built by Laing-Morrison Knudsen in a joint venture between 1990-1995. Laing involvement came mainly from Laing Management Ltd. The site consists of a series of buildings including central plant, administration, chemistry, environmental protection unit, microbiology pilot plant and central research support facility.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
