Description

Sculpted by Edward Hodges Baily, 1826. A monument dedicated to John Jarvis, Earl of St Vincent, who died on 13th March 1823, as inscribed on a panel below the marble over-sized statue of the Earl. He stands holding a telescope with his right hand, which, in turn, rests upon a coil of rope on the ground beside him.
