Description

Sculpted by Sir Richard Westmacott (1775-1856). A monument to the two Major Generals, who fell on the 8th January 1815, as inscribed on the plaque beneath their shared statue. The monument is free-standing, marble, and shows both men holding their swords, and the figure on the right has his arm laid on the shoulder of the figure on the left.
