Description

Free-standing marble statue, sculpted by Sir Ricard Westmacott. The monument to Lord Cuthbert Collingwood has three figures, one of which lies on a boat in the centre. He is half naked and holds a sword ceremoniously to his chest, which a wined figure kneels at his head, gesturing towards his feet. The third figure is reclining to the side of the boat, with a boat rudder at his feet, and two small children climbing over him.
