Description

The Royal Horticultural Society garden opened in 1861, but the Royal Albert Hall was not completed until 1871, meaning the photograph must have been taken after this date.

The garden was closed in 1882 and Imperial College, The Science Museum and The Natural History Museum were later built on the site.
