Description

The Line of Kings exhibition was first created around 1688, although it only included kings deemed suitable by the Stuart Monarchy and thus omitted so called 'bad' kings like Edward II and Richard III. In 1826 it was moved to the purpose built Horse Armoury gallery on the south side of the White Tower. When the gallery closed in 1882, the equestrian figures were then shown on the upper floor of the White Tower. In the 21st century the exhibition was re-opened on the entrance floor of the tower.
