Description

A number of marks appear on the bottom of the print, indicating that the negative was damaged.

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and originally standing at the junction of the Strand and Fleet Street, the gateway was disassembled in only eleven days. It was not rebuilt for a decade, and when it finally was, it was not in London but at Theobald's Park in Hertfordshire. The gateway now stands in Paternoster Square and is owned by the Corporation of London.
