The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: “Canadian leader sees London’s Civil Defence Services. Picture shows Colonel George Drew, Leader of the Canadian Parliamentary Opposition, signing the Vicitor’s (sic) Book at East Hamm (sic) Town Hall. Behind is Alderman E.F. Markey, Major of East Ham, formerly of Canada, who fought with Canadian forces in the last war.”
