Description

The plan is signed by a contractor and witness. There is a note of the dates of authorisation, commencement and completion and the estimated and actual costs. This must have been added later as the date of completion post dates the drawing date and date of the signatures.

The drawings of the main building are at 1" to 8 ft, the drawings of the porch and a detailed section of the foundations are at 1" to 2 ft and the site plan, which includes utilitys, at 1:500.

The plan has some slight alterations in red pen indicating changes between the built structure and the plans (dated 31 Jul 1893).

There is a manuscript note indicating the building was converted to Married Soldiers Quarters in 1922.

On the plans there are pencil notes indicating where a coal store, store room and upstairs WC was added in 1931-1932 with a note of cost.
