Description

Under the elevation of the window is a scale bar, giving a scale of 1" to 1ft. Under the elevation of the door is written "Scale, 8 feet to an inch". This is clearly not the correct scale (it would mean the door was 40 feet wide for example) and 1" to 1ft would be more likely given the size of the drawing, the scale used for other drawings in this job and the plans of the building. The drawing of the door was signed by three officers between the 18th February 1868 and the 9th April 1868 and is plan fourteen of the original job. The drawing of the window was signed by two officers on the 12th March and the 14th of March 1868 and is number fifteen of the original job.
