Copy of a plan showing the layout of the middle level tunnels at East Cliff, Dover
- Date:
- 1938 - 1942
- Location:
- Dover Castle, Underground Cliff Casemates, Dover, Kent
- Reference:
- MP/DOV0645
- Type:
- Measured Drawing
The item is a duplicate of MP/DOV0619, except that it lacks the drawing number S.N.W. 02/60. The plan is undated, but probably originates from around 1938, when proposals for the re-use of the tunnels (called 'caves' on the item) were drawn up as the threat of war mounted. The plan shows tunnels occupied by the Admiralty and the GPO. The original was marked 'secret' and the copy is stamped 'secret'.
