Description

This archive item is made up of three sections. The primary section is a copy of the stencil design with an attached folder. The design is made of two parts a black and white base sheet of card with the outlines of the shape, which are to be cut out to produce the stencil and a tracing paper overlay with the colours on, which is stuck to the base sheet. The overlay also identifies the paint types to be used to achieve these colours. There are two black and white copies of the stencil plan on ordinary paper. One is identical to the base design on card, the other is the same but with the paint specifications also given. theses specifications are the same as on the tracing paper overlay.

The plan is undated but the rest of the folder dated from 1980 -3 and renovation work was done on these building in 1987-8. It is by the Crown Advisory Group, a specific body within the Department of the Environment, and under a different name, within English Heritage.
