Description

Sheet three of four. This drawing was created by surveyors at the Norham and Island Shires Rural District Council at the same time as H M Office of Works was proposing the widening of the same road, and so the two bodies may well have worked together on the project. The roadside banks are hand-tinted in watercolour. The horizontal scale for the sections is 41.66 ft to 1inch, and the vertical scale is 10 ft to 1 inch.
