The different fields and parts of the estate have been named and numbered for a corresponding land parcel index sheet. On the right half of the sheet, the scale is given, 24" to one mile, and the survey is credited to Quartermaster-Sergeant B.K. Spencer and Sergeant-Major J. Steel, and a party of royal sappers and miners. It was drawn by Charles Holland. There are also explanatory notes about the calculation of height on the map.
