Description

The walls of the plan are hand-tinted in pink, and dimensions of windows and rooms are labelled in black ink. Later pencil annotations give other measurements, and some details about the flooring, such as 'polished floor'. One note in ink reads '1/2 B. [?] necess. Ask Mr Cubitt'. This makes it likely that the drawing was created by Thomas Cubitt's firm, and dates to before the end of 1846, as the corridor and household wing are not shown.
