The original carries several dates, up to 1887. However, it is more likely that the drawing was first created in April 1859, during the building of the new stable block and coach house. The drawings are comprised of a location plan, showing the proposed route of the sewer, a section showing the level of the proposed drain, a table of average depths, and a notes section about the levels.
