The 'Principal Lodge' is that at the Sovereign's Entrance. The drawings are comprised of a plan showing the route of the telegraph wires along The Avenue between the Entrance and Osborne House, inset with block plans of the Principal Lodge and the Household Wing that shows the route of the wires, and section and a plan of an inspection box. The drawings are labelled with measurements and notes. The original also carries a label 'A'.
