Description

The item is probably the original of MP/OSH0096 and MP/OSH0111. It shows Osborne House and the area of the estate between it and Osborne Bay, with the existing sewer, and the new sewer in red ink leading to the sewage purification works near Pier Wood. The section of the outfall sewer shows the depth of the pipe below the surface and its vertical drop down to the sewage purification works. The drawing is drawing number 1. On the front of the item, there are the initials CWJ and a date, 28 Oct 1904, and numbers 10379, R/277/16, and 4136/6E. On the item is written: '(signed) Arthur J. Martin Assoc.M. Inst.C.E.; M.R. San.I. 7 Victoria St; Westminster;'.
