Description

The sheet bears eighteen drawings of shields on the upper-floor windows, seven drawings of shields on the lower-floor windows, and detail drawings of the angle of the string course and one of the gargoyles.

It also shows six drawings of emblems on plaques on each elevation; a seven-branched candlestick and the seven eyes of God on the south-east elevation, a hen and chicks, and a 'pelican in her piety' on the north elevation, and a dove and serpent and the hand of God on a globe on the south-west facade.

The original sheet was marked '1882' at the bottom-left, and 'JAG' at the bottom-right. It is possible that these sheets are copies from a Victorian architectural design book.
