Description

The map includes a key in the lower left-hand corner and two scales for land and sea in the lower right. The date of the edition is recorded in the centre at the top. A boundary line around the site of the Castle and Priory has been shaded red. A hand-written note explains that a small area shaded blue is held on a yearly lease by the WD from the Duke of Northumberland.
