Description

The title has been crossed out and 'Record Plan of NCO's Mess Establishment and Staff Married Quarters' written in pencil above. There are other annotations in pencil including one indicating these old plans are not accurate and thus no scale should be given. Other pencil annotations are faded and unreadable. Extensive changes of room use and layout have been made in red pen, there are several sets of revisions and some rooms go through four or more uses. One section of the room plan has been revised by sticking a new piece of paper with the new plan on. The initial plan was traced in 1865 from a record plan made in Nov 1860. Some of the alteration date from 10th Aug 1896, 18th Jan 1904 and the 5th May 1905, the pencil additions are undated.
