Description

The New Picturedrome opened on the site of an earlier Picturedrome theatre in 1931. It was taken over in 1936 and was subsequently renamed the Odeon Cinema. The cinema closed in 1965 and became a bingo club, first operated by Top Rank and then by Mecca. The club closed in December 2003 and the building was demolished.
