Description

The Beaufort Cinema opened in 1929. The building was designed by Archibald Hurley Robinson, with an impressive Tudor revival interior including beams, an oak staircase, and stained glass windows depicting English royalty; the lights in the auditorium were styled as lanterns. The cinema closed in 1978 and was later demolished.
