Description

The cinema was opened in 1938 by an independent operator. It was overtaken by the Association of British Cinemas (ABC) in 1943 and eventually renamed the ABC Ardwick in 1962. The building begun hosting music concerts from 1977 and at the start of the twenty first century was entirely used for music and concerts.

The posters on show at the front of the building date the photograph after 1978, when the venue was used predominately as a music venue.
