Description

Opened in 1902 as a live performance theatre and designed by Manchester based architectural firm Campell and Horsely. It also became a cinema after 1914 when live theatre co-existed with film within the building. The two cinemas contained within the building closed in 1995 and the building gained listed status in 2000. In 2019 the building was an Islamic Resources centre for the local community.
