Description

The Tudor Cinema opened in 1930, but prior to this the building had been a riding stable dating from 1846, followed by a theatre and music hall in the early part of the 20th century. It was later taken over by the Cannon group, although as this photograph shows it was still displaying its Tudor branding into the 1990s.
