Description

The Regal Cinema was designed by the theatre architect Robert Cromie for Union Cinemas Ltd, opening in 1937. It operated as a cinema until 1970 and was then converted into a bingo hall continuing in this form until 2004. In 2008 it became a music venue and nightclub known as The Regal which ran until the end of 2011. It was designated a grade II listed building in 2004 and has since become a church.
