Description

This cinema building was designed by the architects Blackmore and Sykes, opening in 1934 under the name of the Regal Cinema. It was renamed the Scala Cinema in the 1970s and closed in 1983. It subsequently became a bingo hall named the Ritz. The theatre organ was removed from the cinema in 1993.
