Description

This cinema building was designed by the architect William Edward Trent, opening in 1927 under the name of the Regent Theatre. It was taken over by Gaumont in 1929 and continued operating as a cinema until 1985. It was subsequently demolished making way for shops, offices and an Odeon Cinema.
