Description

This building was designed by architect Herbert T Rainger, opening in 1913 under the name of Gilsmith's Hippodrome Theatre, re-named the Coliseum in 1919. It operated as a music hall in the 1920s and as a cinema from the 1930s until 1974. It was then converted into a bingo club and became a snooker club in the 1980s.
