This cinema opened in 1933 under the name of the Gaumont Palace Theatre and was re-named the Odeon in 1962. In 1973 it was divided into a triple screen cinema but by the late 1980s had seven cinema screens. It subsequently closed in 2006 and was demolished in 2014.
