Description

The Whiteladies Picture House opened in 1921. The building incorporates an earlier terraced house, and formerly also included a ballroom and restaurant which were later converted into a public house and offices. The cinema was renamed the ABC, Cannon, and then MGM Cinema, before reverting to the ABC name in the 1990s. The cinema was briefly used as a gym in the early 21st century, before reopening as the Everyman Cinema in 2016.
