Description

The Regent Theatre was opened in 1929. It was renamed the Gaumont in 1949, and became the Odeon Cinema in 1986. The auditorium was divided into 5 screens in 1989, and in 1995 the former restaurant was converted into a sixth screen. This photograph shows the cinema after the sixth screen had been opened. The cinema closed in 2017.
