Description

The Gaumont Palace was opened in 1931 and incorporated the then unfinished Coliseum Ballroom on the corner of Whitefriars and Jordan Well. The ballroom was integrated into the cinema and was later known as the Gaumont Palace Ballroom. The cinema was renamed the Gaumont Cinema in 1937, and became the Odeon Cinema in 1967. It closed as a cinema in 1999.
