Description

The London Pavilion opened as a music hall in 1885. It later operated as a live theatre and also offered variety shows, before being converted into a cinema, dseigned by F G M Chancellor and Cecil Masey, in 1934. The cinema closed in 1981; the interior was largely demolished and was converted into a shopping centre and later an exhibition space. Between 1989 and 2001, the space was used for a Madam Tussaud's exhibition, 'Rock Circus'.
