Description

The Forum Theatre was opened in December 1934. It was designed by John Stanley Beard, and is similar in design to the Forum Theatre in Ealing, which also opened in 1934 and was also designed by Beard. the cinema was renamed the ABC Cinema in 1963 and was closed in 1970. The building later became a bingo hall, a ballroom, and a concert hall and theatre. In 1993 it reverted to its original name, operating as a live music venue. This photograph is a copy; the original photographer is not known.
