Description

The Savoy Cinema opened in 1940 and was renamed the ABC Cinema in 1962. The cinema was leased to Coronet Cinemas in 1979; it closed in 1983. The building was later used as a snooker hall and amusement arcade. It was converted into a pub by the J D Wetherspoon chain, and reopened in 1996.
