The Wurlitzer organ was removed from the Paramount Cinema, Newcastle in the 1960s or early 1970s. It was restored and reinstalled in the car showroom of the Kitchen Brothers garage in Diss, and made its premiere there in 1972. The Wurlitzer was moved from Diss to Northampton in 1982. An annotation on the slide suggests this photograph shows the organ during its installation in the showroom, though it may show it during its removal or later installation in Northampton.
