Description

The Garrick Theatre opened in 1932. It was built on the site of the Opera House which had burned down in December 1929. In 1957 the theatre was acquried by Essoldo Cinemas and was converted into a cinema. It later reverted to its original name as a theatre. The building closed as a cinema in 1963 and became a bingo club.
