Description

The Wyeside Arts Centre was opened as the Market Hall and Assembly Rooms in 1877. In 1911 the upper storey was converted in the Kino Picture House, later the Castle Cinema. The building became the Wyeside Arts Centre in 1978 and the ground floor later became the Market Theatre.
