Description

The Islington Studios were located in the former Poole Street power station between 1919 and 1949. The studios were more commonly known as the Gainsborough Film Studios, as Gainsborough Pictures were located at the studio for much of the studio's history. After the studio closed in 1949, the building became a warehouse and offices, and was converted into housing in the early 21st century.
