Description

The Gaumont Palace opened in 1932 and was renamed the Odeon in 1962. It became the Apollo in 1992; suffixes were added to the name during sponsorship deals with companies including Labatt and Carling. In 2013 the building reopened under the name Eventim Apollo following renovation and restoration. As a Grade II* Listed building it is considered to be one of the largest and best-preserved 'super cinemas' in the UK.
