Description

The Savoy Cinema opened in 1939. It was later sold, and was renamed the Essoldo in 1962. The building was converted into a bingo hall after closing as a cinema in the late 1960s. Although some original features were retained, the decorative platerwork ceiling in the auditorium was covered with a false ceiling.
