Description

The original caption reads: "View of part of interior of Dome when under construction; the picture shows roof structure just prior to covering with aliminium (sic) sheeting."

The Dome of Discovery was designed by Ralph Tubbs. The building was a temporary structure using reinforced concrete and aluminium. At the time it was the largest aluminium structure ever erected.
