Description

The monument, erected by the Metropolitan Board of Works, states that the graveyards affected by the creation of Queen Victoria Street were the parishes of St Andrew by the Wardrobe, St Benet, Paul's Wharf, St Mary Magdalen, St Mary Mounthaw, St Nicholas Olave, and St Nicholas Cole Abbey.

Queen Victoria Street was created to link the Victoria Embankment to the Bank of England in 1867-1871.
