Description

The photograph is entitled "Main Drainage Metropolis", and has the caption "Inspection by Members of Both Houses of Parliament, Saturday 12th July 1862". There is an inscription reading "Lords & Commons 12/7/62" in the bottom left hand corner of the print. The photograph is possibly an image taken during an inspection of the construction of the Crossness Pumping Station in Bexley.
