Description

The caption beneath the image reads 'Mr Hawkins's Winchester'.

The house was previously known as Southgate House, and changed it's name when it was established as a boarding house for Winchester College in 1869 by Rev. C.H. Hawkins. The house has since undergone extensions and renovations.
