Description

This site is now occupied by the Frome Memorial Theatre, South Hill was built in 1868 and demolished around 1919. Mr & Mrs James Short had a carriage works and show rooms adjoining the house which were demolished with the house. This and custodial history is written in pencil on the back of the photograph.

Archival History

Donated to the NMR in 1985 by R.H. Adams, the grandson of Mrs James Short whose home South Hill was between 1897 and 1909.
