Description

The inner porch's east and west walls have carvings of six apostles on each side, with a tympanum over the doorway bearing a sculpted relief of Christ in Glory. Malmesbury Abbey's present structure comprises of the ruins of the former Abbey Church of St Mary and St Aldhelm now partially converted into the Parish Church, with much of the structure dating to the 12th century.
