Description

Lacock Abbey was originally an Augustinian nunnery founded in 1229. At the Dissolution of 1540, it was sold to Sir W Sharington and subsequently converted to a country house. This ogee-headed arch is situated on the west wall of the stable and services range to the north of the main house.
